1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using TeenTask, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, please do not use our platform. TeenTask is a marketplace connecting families with teenage service providers for local tasks and services.
2. Eligibility
Teen Users: Must be between 13-19 years of age and have verifiable parental or guardian consent to use the platform.
Parent/Guardian Users: Must be at least 18 years old and legally authorized to provide consent for their teen.
Client Users: Must be at least 18 years old to post tasks and hire teen workers.
3. User Responsibilities
All users agree to:
- Provide accurate and truthful information during registration
- Maintain the security of their account credentials
- Treat all platform users with respect and professionalism
- Comply with all applicable local, state, and federal laws
- Not engage in any fraudulent, harmful, or illegal activities
- Report any safety concerns or violations immediately
4. Safety Guidelines
For Teens:
- Always inform your parent/guardian about jobs you accept
- Never share personal contact information until a booking is confirmed
- Meet clients in safe, public locations when possible
- Trust your instincts - if something feels wrong, leave and report it
For Clients:
- Only request age-appropriate tasks from teen workers
- Provide a safe working environment
- Respect the agreed-upon schedule and compensation
- Communicate through the platform whenever possible
5. Payments and Fees
TeenTask facilitates secure payments between clients and teen workers.
- A platform fee of 10% is deducted from each transaction
- Payments are processed securely through Stripe
- Teen earnings are transferred after task completion confirmation
- Refund requests are handled on a case-by-case basis
6. Prohibited Activities
The following activities are strictly prohibited:
- Requesting or providing services outside the platform to avoid fees
- Harassment, discrimination, or inappropriate conduct
- Posting false reviews or misleading information
- Attempting to circumvent safety features
- Any illegal activities or labor law violations
7. Limitation of Liability
TeenTask serves as a platform connecting users and is not liable for the actions, quality of work, or disputes between users. We do not employ the teen workers and are not responsible for any damages, injuries, or losses that may occur during the performance of tasks. Users agree to use the platform at their own risk.
8. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, engage in prohibited activities, or pose a safety risk to other users. Users may also request account deletion at any time through the settings page.
